Today I brought online a new site called BuyItListIt.com. This is actually a site of Kelly's that I had a hand in coding although she developed all the content - the hard part. She has a lot of knowledge about the food concession business as she ran her own business and prior to that worked in concession sales for her church.

Last week I wrote a blog entry about an experiment I was trying by writing a webpage titled I Hate Internet Marketing. I have been pretty surprised by the results. With out much marketing experience at all I have been able to achieve a number one result in several of the search engines.

I put together a how-to manual on how to remove acoustic ceilings and posted it at a site named BIGrehab.com. It was written based upon my experience working in the business while living in Sacramento, California.

The way crews were ran at the company I worked for we all shared in the responsibility for getting the jobs done so I am pretty well experience in each phase of the process. It was pretty hard work with long hours and lots of guys couldn’t cut it.

We are talking about removing the acoustic ceilings then putting wall texture in its place. There are a couple of areas on the ceilings along the wall that were damaged from rain water seeping in and destroying the drywall in two rooms. The water problem wasn’t even noticeable until the drywall was to the point of completely crumbling.

Actually I’m just learning about Internet Marketing. My forte has always been infrastructure services and mass deployments of workstations. But now I’m attempting to develop the skill set needed to market products and services in cyberspace. Out of curiosity I decided to see how difficult it would be to get the phrase “I Hate Internet Marketing” to rank high in search results.

It appears that this site was affected by the Drupal duplicate content issue and most of the pages have gone into Google’s supplemental index. I have the problem corrected on my end and I am working on getting Google to reindex the pages and I hope that will pull them back into the standard index.

Drupal 404 error handling has a bug that causes it to redirect to the front page if a node is not found. This happens if you attempt to access a page at node/* such as node/33 where node 33 does not exist. I discovered this error on one of my sites where I had deleted a bunch of nodes and had my site go into the supplemental listings on Google. This bug affects version 5.1 and prior versions. The patch on this page is for version 5.1.

Ask.com, Google, Microsoft Live Search and Yahoo! Jointly announced auto discovery of sitemaps today. This is accomplished by placing the URL of the sitemap within the robots.txt file. The format is as follows:
