GottaBreakUp.com - "Officially Dumped"

Of the two domains I was bidding on over at the evil SnapNames site I was the high bidder on one, GottaBreakUp.com - Break Up. The other site, ForYourDate.com, went to someone else after a prolonged bidding war. The way Snap is setup if there are any bids in the last minutes of the auction the auction is automatically extended. I got tired of the game and finally just gave upGottaBreakUp.com Screen Shot. It is a pathetic excuse for an auction system and only geared toward making the owners of the site more money. I will avoid doing business with them in the future.

GottaBreakUp is actually one of two sites that I had maintained until the owner disappeared. ForYourDate.com and GottaBreakUp.com were sister sites, one designed for dating ideas and the other was focused on helping you dump that not so special someone. A strange concept for sure but when you work on a site for awhile you tend to have some ideas about how to improve things and I have a few. I also own the site 4yourDate.com so I will probably be integrating them together in some manner. For now the site has its original content and will sit like that until I have a chance to rebuild it.

The site is static HTML with some really raunchy graphic work and needs a complete update. I’m going to dump everything and start from scratch using Drupal, all new content, layout and graphics. I basically bought the domain for the name and the link backs that already exist. Currently the site is not listed in any search engines but has hundreds of link backs so getting it up high on the rankings should not be too difficult.

It is a weird domain name for sure but has a lot of potential. I'm not sure how I feel about the current slogan - Officially Dumped - it sounds good on the site but when you see it listed next to the site name on other sites it doesn't sound too positive.
