Last week I wrote a blog entry about an experiment I was trying by writing a webpage titled I Hate Internet Marketing. I have been pretty surprised by the results. With out much marketing experience at all I have been able to achieve a number one result in several of the search engines.

Here is how things are breaking down so far:

#1 on Live.com, Yahoo.com, Altavista.com, AllTheWeb.com

#8 on AOL.com

#9 on Google.com

I also placed #1 on Yahoo.com, Altavista.com and AllTheWeb.com for the phase I Love Internet Marketing.

The toughest engine to crack so far has been Google but this was somewhat expected because it has the largest index and most users and therefore the primary subject of most online marketers dreams.

I will probably only run this test another week or two as I believe the only way to advance further in Google is to create back links. This would be a time consuming process and a complete waste of energy on a senseless test such as this.
