Slow shipping at the depot

I checked Home Depots site earlier this evening and my laptop didn't ship as I was promised it would. I called the customer service number listed on my order confirmation and was told not to worry than I would get it eventually. Excuse me?? I nearly fell out of my chair. I just couldn't believe a customer service representative would actually say something like that. He did tell me that if it didn't arrive by Wednesday I could have a gift card for the shipping.

It really doesn't matter if it takes a few extra days except that this Dell is dying quick and I don't want to be without a laptop. That would mean I will be tied to my desk to get anything done, something that I have successfully avoided for a couple of years now. My desktop systems are primarily used as print servers, data storage and running VMWARE to emulate Linux. I don't have a system that is actually setup to do everyday tasks other than this laptop. Fortunately everything I have going on right now uses browser based applications or services so as long as I can access the data I have on this laptop I can still get everything done.

I did get the Google search setup on this site last night but spent most of today working on two other domains I manage so nothing happened here today. I actually am putting development of this site on hold until next week for reasons I can't really disclose at this point. I'll still be updating the blog and developing content offline but there won't be any new updates. Until the next time.
